Ben Stivers was born in Indiana but moved to Las Vegas at an early age so his parents could pursue musical careers there. Although a very serious classical musician as a child, he studied Jazz at the University of Miami where he earned a Bachelors degree. After several years of studio work in Miami and a brief stint living in Spain, Ben moved to New York in 1999 where he has been very active on the local scene as well as a busy touring schedule. He has recorded and performed with a wide range of artists, including Chris Botti, Gregg Allman, Sting (as a member of Chris Botti band), Rez Abbassi, Jonathan Kreisberg, Mike Clark, Groove Collective, The Bee Gees, DJ Logic, Sam Moore (Sam and Dave), Will Bernard, and many others.
